Bonjour!

Hello from Paris, where we have been for four days now. Our hotel doesnt have Internet like the last and although we have been looking for an internet cafe, this is the first we have found! Paris has been wonderful, despite the rainy and cold weather. Yet we bought very cute coats to help compensate. We were nervous about being unwelcome in Paris due to the language barrier, but we have been welcomed warmly and met many nice people who have helped us along the way. Our new favorite phrase, said with a sweet smile: Non parle français. We spent our whole first day at the Louvre, which we knew would make dad jealous, viewing the likes of the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Every night we have eaten in La Marais, which we adore. Next time we come to Paris we want to stay in this area. The one burst of sunshine appeared yesterday on our visit to the Eiffle Tower. From there we ventured to Monmartre, where we saw the Moulin Rouge and ate at the Cafè des 2 Moulins from the movie Amelie. Today we spent wet and lost yet with high spirits as we visited the Picasso Museum. Tomorrow we have plans to visit Giverny, the home Monet with his famous gardens and water lillies. Then we plan to head to Brussels, back to hostel life of fun and noise.

Au revoir for now, see you in Belgium.
Love Hall and Liz

  3. Did you hear about the red sketchbook getting stolen from the Picasso museum? They say it is worth $11 mil! You may have been one of the last two people to see it.
